Student Learning and Achievement
Nebraska State Accountability (NeSA) results in reading, math, science, and writing have been released. The Plattsmouth Community Schools had 9 out of 20 grade levels/content areas where the percentage of our students that met or exceeded the standards was higher than the percentage of students state-wide that met or exceeded the standards. While the NeSA test is given one time per year as a tool to compare students throughout the state, we use Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing to monitor students’ growth during the school year.
You may recall from the August Superintendent’s Report that, based on a comparison of Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) data from the fall of 2014 to the spring of 2015, students’ mean actual growth exceeded mean projected growth on 25 (89.3%) of 28 measures in grades K-8. Our teachers and students should be commended for their commitment to continuous improvement of individual students, as we strive to improve our scores on the NeSA tests that are given one time per year.
Blue Devil Television (BDTV) video is posted for the week of Aug. 23, 2015.

2015-2016 Registration Update
Due to updates in PowerSchool and School Forms you will no longer be able to register by going to the districts registration page.
PowerSchool’s new version, which was recently updated, now allows what is called Single Sign On. For parents this is a new way to view your children all at once, you will no longer have to log in and out to see multiple children.
In order to use this new feature you will be required to set up a new parent/guardian account. When creating your account, you will enter all of your children. When finished you will be able to switch between kids and buildings within the one account.
To set up the new account you will need an Access ID and Access Password for each child. Each building has a list of students K-12 with their Access ID and Access Password. You can contact the building of your choice during normal working hours. If you have not registered by Thursday July 16, expect a mailing with your students' ID and password from each building where you have children.
Here is a step-by-step guide to help. Click here for instructions to add more than one student to your PowerSchool account. If you need further help, please call the building your student attends. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
